Utility Submeter Sales and Installation

The most accurate way to recover utility costs is by recording actual utility usage with utility submeters. All parties benefit with the use of utility submeters. Residents and tenants have more control of their utility costs and only pay for their own usage. And the property is able to accurately track and recover more of its utility costs.

Today’s utility billing and submetering is much more advanced than the days of meter reading. The systems we install record usage and automatically transmit usage data directly to property management platforms where it can be used for utility billing or syncing with our billing platform.

We can also help property managers who might wish to install or make repairs to their utility submetering systems. We are a Master Meter® distributor and also stock other brands and types of utility submeters and parts.

Customized Water, Electric and Gas Utility Billing

We provide custom tailored utility billing solutions for all main utilities. When you partner with Universal Utilities, we connect our billing platform to your property management software. If you have utility submetering and are collecting utility usage data, we will sync your resident’s usage data and provide utility billing based on usage. If you do not wish to use utility submeters, we are able to provide utility billing using a RUBS formula based on factors defined by you.

We have tailored utility billing solutions for all types of scenarios. We can bill residences based on usage for the utilities that are submetered and bill the same residence based on a RUBS formula for utilities that are not submetered

In addition to utility billing, we can also provide billing for other services and fees such as cable TV, Internet, garage fees and pet fees. And residents can pay their bills via their account online, by phone and of course by mail. For added convenience, residents can set up auto pay and we will automatically draft their payments from their bank account.

Manage Resident and Tenant Billing Online

Our web-based utility billing management platform gives property managers access resident billing from anywhere using any device. Once our billing platform synchronizes with your resident management software, you are able to manage every aspect of your resident’s monthly billing. Start and stop utility charges, manage add or remove charges for other monthly services such as Internet service or garage fees. With Universal Utilities, you’ll have total control of your resident billing.
